Super Moony Blues arising in the East
meet the Sun’s shadow coming in fast from the West.
What started on my birthday, ended with clouds coming in.
Nevertheless, full Moons brighten open plains
for eyes created to craft certain images into long-term memories.
If only one had the power to divide the sky at will, why knot me?

Uncle Tree had quite a wide variety of visitors last year!
He also got out and around to hug a few special friends.
Then word got out — that old crane told me so!
Fishing in Nebraska is a thrill, but, still, good fish are rare.
Sunburns are much more common.
The uncommon is me —
reeling in 60 years, butterflies, birds,
and the best of beers!

After the sun sets, geese fly above the cover of pink.
Leaders and followers both occupy the same time frame.
Families become communities, once the day comes to a close.
Fly me straight, and fly me high!
After all, illusions are only numbers cut down to size.

It was so cold in Nebraska, even the Sun wore a hoodie!
Sunny-side up — orb — over-easy, yes?
Scrambling down the horizon, we stir it all together again.
Whisk, weave and wave ≈ the cheerios of goodbyes.
Sorta nosy is El Sol, as always.

Season’s greetings end with landings and long-necked kissing!
Beastly and clumsily, the chums fowl down to mingle.
After a fun day on the course,
the geese parade to the 19th hole for a drink on the house.
