Spring Delayed Blues

Spring Blues

Spring delayed this year, because Winter loves The Blues.

Platte River Blues

The River only reflects The Blues, because it is all wet.

Windmill Blues

The Windmill stands like the Tin Man, and heartlessly defies The Blues.

Crane blues

Cranes fly off into the wild blues yonder, and no one questions why.

Follow the blues

Read the writing on The Wall of Blues, folks.

Wild Blue Snow Geese

Stay in line and you’ll be fine. Why?

Because, Green said so.

The Sun Sets On Stephen Hawking

Sunset Start

Job 32:9 “Great men are not always wise

Stephen Hawking's sunset

Stephen Hawking was an exception to this rule, I believe.

Purplish pink sky

Is real math wise, or is it simply right all the time?

Orange eyes

Truth is — being true to yourself does not equate to being right.

The colors of the wind

Left with nothing to show for its day, a black hole remains hungry.

Stephen Hawking

Like Charles Darwin before him, Stephen Hawking didn’t believe

Stephen Hawking II

a God was necessary in the story of how we came to be,

how it all got started, or how it all will end.

If you find that hard to stomach,

you’re in good company.

Rudy Leprechaunzie

Early bird

Red Robins can read real people signs just fine, no worries.

March Moon setting

Sometimes, at the least, magic appears fully lopsided.

Dad's Peace Lilly

Sometimes, flowers crane their necks to peek out the looking glass.

Mischievous Rudy

Tricks are for kids AND kittens — just ask Rudy.

He’s downright Irish sometimes!

Rudy leprechaun

Snakes are gone, but not forgotten.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Do help yourself to a peek.

Thank you!

When It Rains Cranes

Sandhill Crane rain

When it rains Sandhill Cranes, even thunderstorms take note.

Cranes On The Fly

Lord knows how long this migration party’s been going on.

Cranes Over The Platte

The Platte River itself is giddy over being the chosen haven for a spell.

Crane Hill

The lowly hills bow down to receive this ancient blessing.

Cranes in clouds

Even after the cranes call it a day, one is left with a sense of hope.

Twilight on The Platte River

The river silently agrees.

Sundown On Tanker Hill

Sundown On Tanker Hill

When my parents picked up our gnarly roots in 1974

and transplanted us from Missouri to Nebraska,

Tanker Hill, Lincoln, Nebraska

we rented a house about two city blocks from the infamous Tanker Hill.

From my current back porch, it stands around 3 miles away.

Tanker Hill on fire

Why does looking West remind us to look to the past?

Simply because High Noon reminds us to remember the present?

Heart on fire

One’s perspective always gets fired up when memories light the way.

Sunset Avenue revisited

Not only salt pillars make History.

Season to taste the best!
