Humanity Next Door
.
Here
is a sight we seldom see:
union in tragedy.
Lights from the heart light up the dark,
showing the way to be.
From The Lowest Limb
*
I shuffled down the dirt road at a snail’s pace
trying to prolong my existence,
in a feeble attempt to postpone the inevitable,
my back to a howling wind that pushed me along.
The whistling in my ears muted the sneers
from a multitude of dust devils.
High noon was fast approaching,
bringing to light a tortuous certainty.
I stared down at the loosely hanging shackles
that bound me to the filth of poetic injustice.
Muttered a curse to the sentence pronounced.
Swore to the gods through the pangs of retribution.
I knew where I was headed,
and followed the footsteps of many a man most assuredly
WANTED!
Enough Aplenty
.
Leave well enough alone.
Always despise not good enough.
Enjoy enough? Well…yes, of course.
Loathe not enough.
Love enough.
.
Be thankful for those times
when you do have enough.
Tell you what…I’ve had enough of this.
Enough already. Enough! Enough!
There’s enough for everyone.
Take some, have some, it’s good for you!
.
Now, are you enough?
Or should you be more than enough?
How can you be more than enough?
That I am is simply enough.
Thus, what I am now is enough.
I am enough!
Love enough.
.
You don’t need to be more than enough.
The Universe will forever be that.
Enough is enough.
Please have enough.
Nuff said.

Prey Of Fate
I look for a sign faithfully,
and wonder about my destiny.
Refusing to let fate choose for me,
I make each choice individually.
.
Questioning my purpose, I ask Thee,
is it your will or mine? Respectfully,
can we compromise then? Openly?
I pray for answers with humility.
Fiery Sands Of Time
Distant messengers sent from afar
messaging the memories of antiquity
streaking hints across the darkened field of play
laying down their final truths
Knock On Good
*
No good comes to man
when he is in love with an idea.
Good ideas come
when love is in man.
A Celestial Arousal

O’ celestial delight!
O’ bright and lovely morning star!
Thou hast hastened my arousal,
and called to me from thy heavenly abode.
Thou doth sooth and comfort me with thy assured rising.
My own inner workings follow thee inadvertently.
Thou hath taken hold of the reins, as ye play the strings my heart.
O’ Venus! Holy poetry! Don’t you ever retrace your steps?
It is Saturn’s Day, by Jove! My only day off.
What do you want from me now?

Please come and give the dear lady a piece of your mind.
Watch out for splinters.

I went on this path one day
off the straight and narrow way
looking to find the unknown
unafraid to be alone
A skip in my stride
my smile a mile wide
passion perspiring inside
.
Suddenly, there’s a shadow
beside my own. “It can’t be so!”
No one came with me, I know
Nobody else wished to go
Who could it be then?
How shall I begin?
Where did it happen and when?
