See?

a steely-cold

glass-faced pond
on a clear cool night

watery eyes gather starlight
reflections reach out → to bond

..if breath could be impossibly quiet..
infinity might have to turn around

(echoes like shadows like dark likes sound)
≈   two become one when we stand beside it   ~

  1. Grin and bear it 😉 The good tidings back and forth across the pond, by the light of a shadowy Moon, do titivate my eye and ring infinity’s bell. “I must go down to the sea again, the lonely sea and the Sure.” Nice One, Uncle 🙂

  2. I’m so glad you understand, good man.
Rest assured, the pond will ne’er go dry between us.
In fact, the seas may rise so high
that the sun may ne’er go down below the knees.

May the Lord bless you for’er,
    and forgive thy ev’ry error.
For Sure, goodness and mercy be
    infinitely ours to exchange. 😉

  3. That was so nicely penned dear Uncle tree… Those four last verses are captivating and highly metaphorical. Truly beautiful!.
Best wishes and happy weekend ahead to you,
    Aquileana 😀

  4. I’m glad you liked this, and those last lines of weirdness.
Thank you, my dear blogger friend! 🙂
Hope you have a fabulous weekend! Cheerz, Keith

  5. Thank you for liking “The Downward Spiral of Gift Giving” and “Happy April Fool’s Day.” I enjoyed this lovely and mysterious poem. 🙂 With so many distractions around us, it is difficult to experience this kind of oneness with the universe.

  6. Thank you for your thoughtful comment, Arlene! 🙂
I wonder, if it weren’t for distractions,
    we’d already be where we’re headed —
    to some big black hole
    smack-dab in the middle of
    that pie-in-the-sky,
    where our ancestors reside,
where they stay ahead of the game of Life,
while we down here are told we cannot pass “Go”
    until we roll the dice
and let the chips fall where they may.

Have a great day! Peace and luvz, UT

  7. You are welcome, and thank you for your wonderful reply! 🙂 Yes, we are not ready to ascend to a higher level of existence yet, and the sad state of the world today makes me think we will probably be stuck down here for a long time.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your week. 🙂
