The Day The Sun Made Love

*

Is my lover’s heart on fire?

Is it burning with desire?

Does her passion leap in flames

at the mention of my name?

Oh, a love so sweet and pure,

(and for which there is no cure)

will blaze a trail that circles round

till loose ends meet on higher ground.

*

When at last God’s will is done,

my love and I will kiss the sun.

As two, we fought for love and won,

and by the fire we’ll melt and run

 ~ together ~

 as one

forever!
