An Awfully Lawful Miracle

“Once in a very great while, out of the devil-ridden chaos that dominates our mundane world, order presents itself in the form of seemingly meaningful coincidences. Through the ripped veil of the universal fabric, singularly particular events occur that may cause a person to question the ironclad laws of causality.” Uncle Tree

Three As One

Posted in Christianity, poetry with tags , , , , , , on August 20, 2011 by Uncle Tree

I went on this path one day – off the straight and narrow way

looking to find the unknown – unafraid to be alone

a skip in my stride – my smile a mile wide

passion perspiring inside.

.

Suddenly! There’s a shadow – beside my own.

“It can’t be so!” No one came with me, I know.

Nobody else wished to go.

Who could it be then? How shall I begin?

Where did it happen and when?

.

I’ll tell you a secret now – that only you can allow.

Stick with me for one moment – maybe you’ll find atonement.

Do you not have the time? It won’t cost a dime.

(Don’t be scared. It’s just a rhyme.)

.

Okay? Now, back to the trail…

not knowing that I could fail – sensing a treasure ahead

I take a left turn instead.

And to my surprise – right before my eyes

this other shadow complies.

.

I look – but no one is there!

With reason, I must compare…

Judging it, I do declare, “It’s not my own!”, but I swear,

it stayed right with me. I giggled with glee!

(Quite strange, you might agree.)

.

And so, I strode on through the wood

wond’ring if two shadows could

converge as one, if the light

from the sun was angled right.

.

I stopped in my tracks, and checked out the facts:

←  Three as One  →

Sun on our backs!

Guardian Shadow appear! Assurance is always near.

Tho’ crossroads never seem clear,

Directions tell me not to fear.

Whichever I choose, I know I can’t lose.

He’s already paid my dues!

For there are three that bear record in heaven,

the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost:

and these three are one.

Living In God’s Frame Of Mind

Posted in Christianity, poetry with tags , , , , on June 6, 2011 by Uncle Tree

I’ve been framed, by God! I have my own heavenly place.

I’ve been arranged! How odd – this life within His outer space.

And yet, He lives within me, too!

He who knows me through and through.

The One who makes all things new,

deserves my praise for all my days.

In gratitude for His loving kindness,

I framed a song of thanks.

* * * *

Thank you, Lord! Oh, thank you much!

~ I surely feel your loving touch ~

[ Square me in - Frame my mind ]

<- Set me free from time to time ->

Keep me hanging by a thread,

like a thought inside your head.

Imagine me as I was made

in your image where I’m saved

forever!

“And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns,

and put it on his head,

and they put on him a purple robe.”

John 19:2

No good comes to man

when he is in love with an idea.

Good ideas come

when love is in man.
