The Day The Sun Made Love

*

Is my lover’s heart on fire?

Is it burning with desire?

Does her passion leap in flames

at the mention of my name?

Oh, a love so sweet and pure,

(and for which there is no cure)

will blaze a trail that circles round

till loose ends meet on higher ground.

*

When at last God’s will is done,

my love and I will kiss the sun.

As two, we fought for love and won,

and by the fire we’ll melt and run

 ~ together ~

 as one

forever!

“Huge loops of plasma—superheated, charged gas—rise from an active region on the sun in a newly released picture from

NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory.

Each loop is as tall as several Earths stacked on top of each other. The plasma loops trace the sun’s otherwise invisible magnetic field lines, which rise from the star’s magnetically active regions—the starting points for huge eruptions of radiation known as solar flares.”
