Tree’s Ode To Kate

To bend with the wind

In Katie’s lovely garden

All I have in mind

.

To be soothed in peace

By the hand of a Princess

What more can I say

.

To be well-grounded

Surrounded by fertile soil

Sunshine’s stately post

.

How rarely it’s found

This blessed fortune abides

I stand corrected

.

With supporting love

She’s tenderly…thoughtfully

Upheld my weakest

.

No judgment she brings

Further arrangements she holds

I may rest assured

.

You might see me there

Stretching to the sky’s limit

All my worthwhile days

.

Come see me sometime

Smile at this silly posture

Bowing out in style

.

You really dug deep down to my roots here, Eva.
I am a bit ticklish down there. Remember “Field Of Dreams”?
“Build it and they will come.” Well, not at wordpress they won’t.
Getting started isn’t easy. One has to go soliciting, huh?

Kate is a web friend. You may have seen her around these parts.
We hung out at Intentblog for a couple of years, and right before
they closed the place I wrote this for her as a farewell present.
A southern gentleman does this kind of thing. I try, Lordy, Lordy,
I try. Thank you for being the first to comment. Yeah! Finally…
